About Laura
After studying Agriculture at the University of Reading, Laura spent a couple of years working for HGCA/AHDB in their communications team before moving north to Scotland in 2012 to become a Farm Trader.
Initially, Laura worked for Openfield based out of Montrose, but then moved across to work for W.N. Lindsay Ltd in 2016, taking on the role of Seed Manager a few years later.
In 2021, the grain merchanting business of W.N. Lindsay Ltd was sold to Simpsons Malt Ltd and Laura notes that the sale came at a really good time for her personally.
Laura enjoys working for a business that recognises the importance of good seed both from a farmer and an end-user perspective and says she’s lucky to be in a job where no two days are the same and there’s always something to learn!
