About Andy
After graduating from Newcastle University in 1982 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture, Andy joined SAI in Aberdeenshire until 1987 before moving trading area to East Lothian, where he spent a further four years.
In 1991, Andy joined MSP as a Farm Trader, continuing to work in the Lothians. He recently passed 30 years’ service in the business, while the year 2022 will mark his 40th year in the agricultural industry.
Andy has been BASIS and FACTS qualified for close to 40 years and, in addition to having his own client base as a Farm Trader, he was a Regional Sales Director, looking after a hard-working and conscientious team of four.
In December 2022, Andy stepped back from his role but chose to remain with the business on a part-time basis to pass on his knowledge and expertise to a new generation of Farm Traders.
Away from work, Andy has four cocker spaniels so enjoys being out with them (most of the time anyway!), while he also takes part in other outdoor sporting activities, including fishing and stalking.
